    • Q.Is it possible to reschedule a removal after it had been booked?

      A. As soon as you realize there may be a problem with your moving date, you need to contact the North Lakes Removals and Storage on 0402 495 341   for a new pickup/delivery or trip date.

    • Q. We have very expensive furniture, or highly polished furniture, will it be safe with your company?

      A. As you probably are already aware we North Lakes Removals employ high quality removalist employees. It comes down to experience and the right equipment; both of which  we do provide.

    • Q. I have had a quote from another company that is cheaper, why do you cost more or can you match it?

      A. There is a famous saying The Bitterness of poor service lingers long after the sweet taste of a cheap price!


      We have low overheads, and one thing we know is you can’t charge much less than what we do and still provide the service and experience that you should get. There is a large amount of removal companies out there that use cheap, inexperienced labour that are getting paid cash under the table. . These are the same men that enter your home, deal with your family and handle all your most treasured possessions, they have very little or no handling experience and for that matter don’t care about the business they work for or the clients they move. This is not a scare tactic but simply the truth.


      We on the other hand are wholly and solely client orientated, and our goal is referral, referral, referral. The best way to do that is to do whatever the client needs to be happy with their move and not charge the earth for it. 

    • Q. Do you have storage facilities?

      A. Yes, North Lakes Removals has a storage facility. 

    • Q. How long can I store my goods for?

      A. You can store your goods for a short period or as long as you require. Storage is charged on a weekly basis and you will receive an invoice/statement every four weeks depending on your payment option.

    • Q. How are they stored?

      A. They are stored within a secure Warehouse, which is alarmed and linked to the emergency services.

    • Q. What do I need to do to prepare appliances and machinery for removals?

      When disconnecting appliances and machinery, you should refer to the manufacturer’s instructions, particularly around washing machines, driers, computers, fridges and television sets. If you have the original packaging, then it is advisable to pack these items back into their original boxes. 


      Lawnmowers and any other gardening equipment should always have the petrol drained from their tanks. 


      BBQ gas cylinders cannot be transported by a removalist unless a certificate has been obtained from a certified gas cylinder test station, stating the cylinder has been purged. Please never burn off the gas or release the gas. BBQs should also be thoroughly cleaned prior to move.
